Twenty-two to twenty-eight degrees. Sun from November to April with no notable interruption. Humidity dropped to European levels. And the effervescence of a season that transforms Dubai into one of the world’s most dynamic winter destinations. From November to April 2026-2027, the emirate finds its optimal rhythm — the one residents await all year and that travellers from around the world come to seek. Art galleries in full activity (Art Dubai in April), shopping festival in winter, palaces in their most accomplished configuration, desert accessible all day, yachts moored in marina for weeks of private receptions. For our clients who split their year between Saint-Barthélemy and the Mediterranean, and who integrate Dubai into their winter calendar — either as a complement to Saint-Barth during the New Year peak, or as an alternative for February-March — understanding the Dubai season is essential to anticipate.
Dubai in winter: the season that changes everything
Dubai has two radically different seasons. Summer, May to October, sees temperatures exceed forty degrees during the day, humidity climb, outdoor life become hardly practical beyond a few hours. The majority of residents then leave the city for their European or North American residences. Winter, November to April, transforms the situation: temperatures settle between twenty-two and twenty-eight degrees during the day, humidity drops to thirty or forty percent, sun shines three hundred days a year. Outdoor life becomes possible all day — terrace lunches, poolside days, yacht outings, evenings under the stars. This transformation makes Dubai a winter destination.
Winter is therefore the moment when the city functions fully. All addresses are open, teams complete, residential community at its peak. Hotels show full during key windows (New Year week, mid-February, Easter week). Signature restaurants book up weeks in advance. Private parties in palaces multiply. It is also the time of major international events that make the emirate’s singularity.
For those of our clients discovering Dubai or returning regularly, winter 2026-2027 offers a particularly rich combination. While relocation to Dubai is a structural undertaking, the winter stay is the occasion to test the city, create one’s bearings, or simply live the most beautiful weeks of the year.
The 2026-2027 events calendar
Winter in Dubai is punctuated by several major events structuring the best stay windows.

Established in 1996, the Dubai Shopping Festival returns from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. For six weeks, the city’s main retail districts and shopping centres host offers, entertainment, shows and seasonal experiences. As previews, availability and personalised services offered by luxury houses vary by brand, they are checked individually for each request.
Art Dubai (7-11 April 2027)
Art Dubai 2027 will take place at Madinat Jumeirah from 7 to 11 April, with VIP preview days on 7 and 8 April followed by public days from 9 to 11 April. The fair brings together galleries and artists from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and other international scenes through modern, contemporary and digital presentations, alongside talks, performances and guided visits.
Dubai International Boat Show (March 2027)
Dubai’s nautical show, at Dubai Harbour, presents over five days the most beautiful yachts and pleasure boats. One of the three major global nautical shows with Monaco Yacht Show and Fort Lauderdale. For current or prospective owners, an opportunity to visit new models from international yards presenting their units on pontoons. The Boat Show week accompanies private yacht parties and professional dinners.
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships (14-27 February 2027)
The tournament will take place at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium from 14 to 27 February 2027, with the WTA 1000 women’s event followed by the ATP 500 men’s tournament. As detailed schedules remain subject to change, tickets, hospitality categories and related services are checked at the time of each request.
Dubai World Cup (27 March 2027)
The 31st Dubai World Cup will take place on Saturday, 27 March 2027 at Meydan Racecourse. The nine-race card carries official total prize money of US$30.5 million, including US$12 million for the main Dubai World Cup race.
“Dubai in winter is a star-city: six months of concentrated intensity, as many reasons to be there at different moments for different objectives.” — Maison Silaïa
Palaces and hotel experiences
Dubai counts among the highest densities of palaces in the world. Over forty five-star establishments, of which a dozen reach the standards of the greatest international palaces. Competition pushes each address toward permanent search for innovation and differentiation.
Burj Al Arab: the timeless icon
Built in 1999 on an artificial island, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah remains Dubai’s absolute icon. Two hundred and two duplex suites (smallest one hundred and seventy square metres, largest seven hundred and eighty), ultra-personalised service with a butler per suite, signature restaurants (Al Mahara with its giant aquarium, Al Muntaha at the eighty-second floor summit), possible helicopter arrival on the rooftop helipad. One of the world’s most recognisable addresses — staying at Burj Al Arab remains a marking experience even for the most experienced travellers. Rates between four thousand and thirty thousand dollars per night depending on suite.
Atlantis The Royal and Atlantis The Palm: modern experiences
Atlantis The Royal, opened in 2023 at Palm Jumeirah’s tip, is Dubai’s most recent and spectacular palace. Seven hundred and eighty rooms and suites, seventeen restaurants including several starred (Nobu by the Beach, Ariana’s Persian Kitchen, La Mar by Gastón Acurio), monumental spa, immersive experiences (Royal Mansion suite at five thousand square metres). Neighbouring Atlantis The Palm remains a family reference with its Aquaventure water park, one of the world’s largest.
One&Only The Palm and One&Only Royal Mirage
One&Only operates two Dubai addresses with different positioning. The Palm, at Palm Jumeirah’s opposite end from Atlantis, offers one hundred and twenty units (rooms, suites, villas) in an ultra-confidential beach club spirit — Mediterranean atmosphere, private beach, Mediterranean restaurants (101 Dining Lounge on water, ZEST). Royal Mirage, on Jumeirah Beach, keeps a traditional Moorish atmosphere, more discreet, frequented by a faithful European clientele for twenty years.
Bulgari Resort, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Ritz-Carlton DIFC
Three recent palaces complete the selection. Bulgari Resort Dubai on Jumeira Bay island proposes design signed by the Italian house, private marina, beaches, resolutely Italian atmosphere. Mandarin Oriental Jumeira on Jumeirah Beach offers Mandarin standards (exceptional spa, gastronomy). Ritz-Carlton DIFC, in the financial quarter’s heart, attracts business clientele with a unique combination of Ritz service and immediate access to financial institutions and ministries.
The desert and signature experiences
Dubai is not only urban. Thirty minutes from the centre begins the desert — that of the Rub al Khali dunes extending to the borders of Oman and Saudi Arabia. This desert accessibility within a day is part of the emirate’s singularity.
Desert resorts: Al Maha, Bab Al Shams, Anantara Qasr Al Sarab
Three resorts allow extending the desert experience. Al Maha (forty minutes from Dubai) offers forty-two individual suites with private pool in a conservation reserve. Bab Al Shams (Jumeirah Group, thirty minutes), recently renovated, is more accessible and warmer. Anantara Qasr Al Sarab (two hours from Dubai, in Abu Dhabi) is the most emblematic — reconstituted fortification at the heart of the Emirates’ tallest dunes, accessible only by 4×4 or helicopter, two hundred suites and villas with private pools. For those wishing to live the desert in all its power, Anantara remains the absolute reference.
Signature desert experiences
Dinner under stars in the desert with private chef, falconry at sunrise (the Emirates are the historic homeland of falcon hunting), camel or Arabian horse rides, star observation with astronomer (the desert sky is one of the world’s purest), hot air balloon flight at dawn: these experiences compose bespoke for clients wishing to integrate a desert dimension into their Dubai stay. A day or two suffices to live the essentials; for clients staying longer, the desert becomes a stay within the stay.
Oman and Abu Dhabi extensions
For clients extending east or south, two natural extensions. Oman, an hour’s flight from Dubai, offers Muscat, the Wahiba Desert, and the Musandam Peninsula (Oman’s fjords accessible by boat). Abu Dhabi, an hour and a quarter by road, adds the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Emirates Palace, the Yas Marina circuit and soon the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. These extensions allow composing ten to fourteen-day stays combining city, desert, palaces and culture.
Yachting and marina in Dubai
Dubai has become in recent years a true yachting destination. Several marinas (Dubai Harbour, Dubai Marina, Mina Rashid) welcome units of all sizes, and the coast allows day cruises to Gulf islands.
Daily or weekly charter
The charter offering in Dubai is one of the most developed in the Middle East. Yachts of fifteen to fifty metres available daily for sea outings, lunch at anchor, swimming in clear waters between The World islands or toward the Jumeirah marine protection zone. For full weeks, larger units (fifty to seventy metres) are available for rental with crew and VIP services. Winter season is the optimal period — water at twenty-four degrees, moderate winds, sunny days.
Marina parties and dinners
Dubai Harbour, the most recent marina (inaugurated in 2020), welcomes large yachts and concentrates waterfront restaurants. Pierchic, Bussola, Eauzone, La Petite Maison Dubai (branch of the London house), 101 Dining Lounge: as many addresses where winter dinners organise. For clients renting a yacht weekly, these tables serve as relays when not dining aboard.
Longer cruises: The World, Musandam, Sir Bani Yas
Beyond day outings, several destinations deserve a longer yacht stay. The World — the artificial archipelago of islands forming a world map — offers some moorings near private islands. Musandam Peninsula (Oman), a few hours from Dubai, offers the Gulf’s most spectacular fjords. Sir Bani Yas (Emirates), island transformed into animal reserve, welcomes yachts for safari stops. Composing these sea experiences requires some days of anticipation to set crew, provisioning and mooring authorisations.

Composing your Dubai winter: the Maison Silaïa method
A Dubai winter stay prepares three to six months ahead. Our method organises in four steps.
Brief in September-October
The ideal discussion begins September-October for winter. What objective (beach stay, presence at a specific event, step of an upcoming expatriation, business stay)? What duration (weekend, week, long stay)? What interests (art, fashion, gastronomy, desert, yachting, wellness)? With or without children? The brief’s clarity determines the composition’s relevance.
Selection and reservations
Per brief, palace or palaces selection (clients staying several weeks often combine two or three addresses), reservation of emblematic restaurants for signature dinners, organisation of desert outings and yachts, access to targeted events (Art Dubai, Boat Show, Tennis Championships, Dubai World Cup).
Private logistics
Arrival by private jet at Al Bateen Executive Airport (in Abu Dhabi, more confidential) or DXB per constraints, transfer to palace, dedicated chauffeur for the entire stay, helicopter for long connections (Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas, desert), at-home wellness services, private gallery visits during Art Dubai, VIP boutique salon access during Shopping Festival.
Permanent accompaniment
During the stay, a local coordinator remains reachable. Programme adjustment per opportunities (improvised Sharjah excursion for an exhibition, dinner added with visiting chef, yacht outing per weather), contingency management.
